Presentaion: Proposed Professional ServicesNational Procurement Strategy
|
Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) has undertaken a complete review of professional services procurement with the objective of developing a national strategy. Resulting from 12 months of extensive consultation, the draft strategy aims to provide a consistent and uniform national approach for the procurement of professional services through five key elements:
- Single governance on a national scale;
- Common business rules;
- Access through a single web portal known as the Centralized Professional Services System (CPSS);
- Increased support for building statements of work and evaluation criteria; and,
- Consolidated training for government departments.
When implemented, this strategy will improve the quality of services to client departments; enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the procurement process; provide simplified business rules; promote accountability; and, respond to regional and local variations.
Both suppliers and client departments have the opportunity to comment on the draft strategy until October 7, 2011.
Clients can access the draft strategy on the Procurement Community on GCPEDIA: http://www.gcpedia.gc.ca/wiki/Procurement_community/Goods_and_services/
