Generational Differences in the Workforce
Do
you have multiple generations meeting at the water
cooler? Offices today are staffed by Veterans, Baby
Boomers, Generation X and Y procurement professionals
all working
in the same space. Multiple generations can bring
new ideas to solving problems, unique approaches to daily
challenges and an appreciation for diversity. But
you
have to know how to blend the needs of each generation
with their skills. Explore the differences, understand
the motivation and create an effective team for the
future.

Conscious Communications
We live
in a world of mass communication thanks to the advent
of computers, iPods, cell phones, and of course … Blackberries.
The art of conscious communication represents the ability
to understand that as good as these tools are at communicating
a conscious message to one person, they can be equally
effective at delivering an unconscious negative message
to somebody else. Unfortunately, these unconscious messages
are actually negating otherwise positive results for
many Blackberry users. Now, more than ever it is critical
to know that the true meanings of your communications
are mirrored in the ways that others communicate with
you. The ultimate question becomes … are your Blackberry
communications creating turmoil or teamwork?
